PADI Drysuit Speciality
This course will further your dive experience and allows anyone over the age of 12 to enable you to safely using a dry suit.
To become a dry suit diver you are required to complete 2 adventure dives that will develop your knowledge of dry suits, when to use a dry suit, different types of dry suits available, along with techniques & skils used to conduct safe diving in a dry suit.
- You must be a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver
(or equivalent)
- Due to site rules minimum age is 12
- Children age 12 to 15 will be rewarded the PADI Junior Drysuit certification.
- All students must fill in a PADI Medical questionnaire prior to participation and if need be get a doctors ok.
Knowledge Development is based on a self-study method, prior to the course, allowing you to study in your own time, at your own pace. Your instructor will go through your knowledge development with you and explain any queries you may have.
2. 1 Confined Water Dive
This is designed to orientate you in to using a drysuit in a safe manner, teaching you buoyancy techniques and air depletion skills.
3. 2 Open Water Dives
These dives will test you buoyancy and safety using the skills you have mastered in the confined water session.
