PADI Open Water Course
The PADI Open Water Course is designed for the beginner, both young and old, male and female. Your training will include - Academic, Pool and Open Water training sessions.
Want to learn to dive in warm water away from the UK but don't want to waste your holiday time abroad in a classroom or a swimming pool then this is the option for you. Complete all the theory knowledge and pool skills here to the required standards and our PADI instructors will record your achievements ready for you to take them to another PADI centre anywhere in the World and complete the 4 open water dives required to receive your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
This leaves more time to soak up the sun and get some real diving in!
This option is available when you have completed the PADI Open Water classroom and pool training to the satisfaction of your PADI Instructor but would like to come to Stoney Cove to complete your 4 open water dives. Bring us the completed referral record and our instructors will happily dive with you so you can complete your full PADI Open Water certification.
* Academic Modules:
The academic training develops your understanding of basic diving theory and the use of the dive tables. The sessions are conducted in classrooms equipped with video, slide projector and other teaching aids, which will enhance your understanding of basic dive theory.
* Swimming Pool Sessions:
Pool training takes place in a superb swimming pool here at Stoney Cove. It is here where after instruction you will practice the skills necessary to progress to open water diving.
* Open Water Sessions:
These sessions will enable you to demonstrate your ability to perform the skills developed during the pool exercises in open water. There are 4 open water dives in full scuba between 6 metres and 18 metres, where you will enjoy interacting with other student divers and our interesting and friendly aquatic life.
Course Requirements:
* Minimum age: 15 years
* Must be able to swim 200 metres and tread water for 10 minutes
* Be in good health with no medical conditions incompatible with diving and confident in the water.
