PADI Rescue Diver Course
The PADI Rescue Diver course develops your ability to identify and respond to problems and diving incidents that may occur in various environmental conditions. It develops your ability for self-rescue, and techniques to help others in diving emergencies. When the course has been completed you will feel more confident in your own diving abilities.
The Emergency First Responder course gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid and prepares you to handle potentially life-threatening situations.
Course Overview
The PADI Rescue Diver programme is divided into knowledge development and open water scenarios. The knowledge development portion covers the principles and theory's needed for prevention and handling of diving emergency situations.
Topics reviewed include Self Rescue, Diver Stress, First Aid, Equipment problems, Search and Recovery Techniques and Emergency Management for both conscious and unconscious divers on the surface and underwater.
During open water training a series of exercises will enable you to apply the knowledge gained during the academic portion of this course organised as accident scenarios.
Course Requirements:
* Minimum age: 15 years.
* Certification: Padi Advanced Open Water or equivalent rating, with proof of a current First Aid and CPR qualification (covered by the Emergency First Response).
* Have 20 logged dives.
* Be in good health with no medical conditions incompatible with diving and confident in the water.
