Warning
A report published during 2006
on behalf of the HSE found:-
BRITISH
DIVERS are risking their lives by failing
to maintain and service their regulators adequately.
Almost half of the regulators tested during
a three year investigation into diving deaths
would not pass the EU standard for regulator
performance through "lack of maintenance,
servicing, cleaning and incorrect setup".
According to the report, more than 25% of
the studied fatalities could be directly attributed
to equipment faults, the bulk of these in
regulators.
Make sure that you don,t become
a statistic and have your gear serviced at
least once every 12 months.
