Ready to experience scuba diving for the first time?
Our PADI Discover Scuba Diving course is your introduction to the underwater world. Conducted entirely in a controlled pool environment, this beginner-friendly program lets you learn fundamental diving skills in a safe, supportive setting—perfect for exploring whether diving is for you.

Your Experience
You’ll learn at your own pace in our calm pool setting. Your instructor remains with you throughout, providing hands-on guidance and support. Practice skills in shallow water before advancing to deeper pool areas as your confidence grows. Most participants progress to depths of up to 6 meters.

How long will it take?
The course is generally run on a Wednesday evening (starting at 1730) on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month. We do sometimes run morning (starting at 0900) or afternoon (starting at 1230) sessions. When booking, the date will show Evening, Morning or Afternoon. If the start times would be difficult for you, please get in touch, and we may be able to help.
Age Requirements
You must be 10 years old to enrol on this course at Stoney Cove
Course Prerequisites
You must be able to swim and be medically fit to dive
Equipment
All equipment hire is included in the price
You just need to bring swimming kit, a towel and a t-shirt (or rash vest)

There are no hidden extras with your course at the Diveschool @ Stoney Cove. Entry fees, air fills, kit hire, course materials and PADI certification fees are all included.
